For Michael Arora, Associate Director, Nephrology Marketing, patient-centricity impacts how he approaches his everyday responsibilities and helps him communicate with his team about the importance of understanding and addressing the needs of patients whenever possible.
“We’re working for the benefit of patients, that’s the most important thing to me,” explained Michael. “It’s motivating to be surrounded by peers who have the same goals and objectives, and together, we’re able to accomplish so much more.”
To Michael, “collaboration is key to innovation,” a sentiment he threads throughout all of his interactions with internal and external stakeholders. “A major part of my job is working cross-functionally to achieve the company’s goals. Working together allows us to build on each other’s ideas and think creatively to solve whatever issue is at hand.”
Whether managing initiatives that address the needs of a specific patient population or connecting with key opinion leaders in healthcare to raise awareness of a rare disease, Michael’s determination to help those who are suffering is consistently evident to his peers.
