Mallinckrodt’s Matthew Harbaugh Earns CFO Honor from St. Louis Business Journal

Harbaugh with Stroke and Drop Shadow

Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Matt Harbaugh recently earned recognition from the St. Louis Business Journal as a 2016 CFO of the Year honoree in the Health Care category.

Having joined the organization when it was part of Covidien, Harbaugh has been with Mallinckrodt for nearly nine years. He helped lead the spin-off of Mallinckrodt as an independent company nearly three years ago, and since then the company has transformed itself from a generic pharmaceutical and medical imaging company to a company focused on specialty branded pharmaceuticals.

“Matt earns my confidence and respect daily, along with that of our board of directors and his peers, through his highly intelligent and exceptional execution of his CFO responsibilities. His passion for Mallinckrodt’s success matches my own,” Mallinckrodt President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Trudeau told the business journal.

“Our transformation to a high-performing specialty pharmaceutical company has been driven by new commercial platforms that have increased the profitability and growth potential of the company. Matt’s tremendous leadership has been invaluable in shaping the new Mallinckrodt, including his vital counsel in securing four highly strategic and financially sound business acquisitions in less than two years.”
