On Thursday April 13, the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and Mallinckrodt presented Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) with the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence during an employee town hall event hosted at Mallinckrodt’s Corporate Headquarters in Hazelwood, MO. More than 150 Mallinckrodt employees, along with numerous leaders from NAM member companies across Missouri came out to help celebrate and hear the Senator’s remarks.
“Mallinckrodt applauds the selection of Senator Blunt as recipient of the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence. His support of pro-manufacturing legislation is highly beneficial to America’s manufacturers, with domestic manufacturing critical to the strength of our nation’s economy,” said Dr. Frank Scholz, Executive Vice President, Operations and President, Specialty Generics for Mallinckrodt and NAM Board Member. “We at Mallinckrodt and the entire Missouri business community are fortunate to have Senator Blunt’s strong support in advocating policies that will allow us to grow our businesses, create jobs, and compete globally.”
“Manufacturers are a cornerstone of our state’s economy, providing good-paying jobs to more than 260,000 Missourians,” said Senator Blunt. “I’ve been proud to lead efforts to revitalize manufacturing in Missouri and across the nation, and will continue working to ensure we have the right policies in place to help manufacturers grow, innovate, and compete in the 21st Century economy.”
The NAM award recognized Senator Blunt’s exemplary voting record in the 114th Congress and his solid support for a strong manufacturing economy and a forward-thinking manufacturing agenda.
