Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) Council recently earned honors as second best among top U.S. employee resource groups (ERGs), business resource groups (BRGs) and diversity councils.
The company was recognized among more than 1,330 entrants at the 9th Annual ERG & Council Honors Award™ celebration in October. This premiere annual national award honors and celebrates outstanding contributions and achievements of resource groups and councils.
“Credit for this award goes to all Mallinckrodt employees who lead, support and engage in our I&D Council and our BRGs,” said Angela Cody, Manager of Inclusion & Diversity. “Our mission is to create an inclusive and collaborative culture that values, respects and leverages the unique talents and contributions of all individuals. This mission becomes real thanks to our BRGs, the support of our top leaders, and through the participation and engagement of all employees.”
The award recognizes and awards the outstanding contributions and achievements in leading organizational diversity and inclusion processes, and demonstrating results in their workforce, workplace and marketplace. Award applicants are evaluated on contributions and achievements in these four categories: Demonstrated Results, Demonstrated Management Commitment, Measurement and Accountability, and Communication and Education. The General Motors Employee Resource Group came in at No. 1 this year. In 2016, Mallinckrodt ranked sixth.
Mallinckrodt was also recently recognized by Mogul as a Top Innovator in Diversity & Inclusion in 2017. The designation honors organizations that have made, and continue to make, enormous strides in hiring a diverse talent, creating welcoming environments and communities for employees and contributing to society in meaningful ways. Mogul noted the company has “made individual commitments to cultivate and inspire an inclusive and diverse working environment” and that Mallinckrodt was named a Best Company for LGBT Equality, with more than 150 employees participating in Pride festivities in New Jersey and St. Louis. Mogul is an award-winning platform reaching millions of women per week across 196 countries and 30,470 cities.
