Mallinckrodt employees in St. Louis and New Jersey shared a common destination this past September – a world free of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Employees participated in the National MS Society’s Bike MS cycling event to raise awareness and financial support for those affected by the unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.
Mallinckrodt’s particular focus on therapies for patients with difficult-to-treat autoimmune and inflammatory disorders includes the treatment of MS as part of the neurology specialty area. Many riders also have personal connections, which make participating in the MS150 even more impactful.
“I was overwhelmed by the spirit of our riders, and what a rewarding experience it was for the team to support such an important initiative,” said Jackie Polyakov, Senior Market Research Manager and wellness champion. “The energy and commitment of our riders speak to our culture of teamwork and perseverance.”
